It is not organized by the Dutchess Peace Coalition but we support it and frequently attend. We hope that on Sept. 27, there will be an unprecedented number of people present, carrying signs saying "No War on Iran."

The vigil takes place every Saturday, including Sept. 27, from noon to 2 p.m. It is held at the intersection of Routes 9 and 9D in Wappingers Falls, near the South Hills Mall and across from Staples. At 2 p.m. we sing some peace songs around the peace pole, sometimes led by Pete Seeger. We carry signs and place banners and peace flags all around the area. There is a counter-demonstration that always stands across the road from us.
